Francois Normandeau
Founder, The French Club
François Normandeau has over 10 years of experience, a university teaching background in Spain, and more than 6,000 private lessons delivered.
Terry Nadasdi
CEO, Bon Patron; PhD, University of Toronto
Terry is a linguistics professor and the President and CEO of the BonPatron/SpanishChecker suite of online grammar-checking tools. He has more than 30 years of experience in language teaching and research and currently holds a full professorship in linguistics at the University of Alberta. His research focuses on French grammar, language pedagogy, bilingualism, and computer-assisted language learning, with a particular interest in Canadian varieties of French and second language acquisition. He has published four books and over 50 scholarly articles on topics related to French grammar, language teaching, and sociolinguistics.
As co-creator of BonPatron, Terry Nadasdi is responsible for most of the day-to-day operations of the platform. He has written all of the rules and feedback used by BonPatron and related grammar checkers, and he has authored the accompanying grammar and vocabulary guides used by learners and teachers worldwide.
Xavier Chambolle
Founder, Tours Accolade
Xavier Chambolle is a certified tour guide for Québec City and Lévis and the founder of Tours Accolade, a private tour company he launched in July 2017 to share his passion for local history and heritage. With more than ten years of experience researching genealogical history, he created the unique “Vos Racines” (Your Roots) private tour, which builds a customized visit around each client’s family tree and ancestral connections to Québec. Based in the Lévis area, he offers classic and thematic walking tours on both sides of the St. Lawrence River, including Old Québec, Old Port, Old suburbs, Old Lauzon, and Old Lévis.
Under the Tours Accolade banner, Xavier designs tours that make local history visible and understandable for both visitors and residents, with a strong focus on storytelling and lesser-known perspectives. He has developed specialized itineraries on topics such as military history and the role of influential women in Québec’s past, as well as an innovative tour specifically adapted for visually impaired and blind participants. Known for “thinking outside the box,” he is frequently praised by clients for his deep knowledge, pedagogical approach, and personalized recommendations, from historical context to local cuisine and activities in and around Québec City.
