Typical Daily Schedule

5-Day French Immersion — Nice (France)

This immersion follows a consistent daily rhythm designed to maximize real-world French exposure while allowing flexibility based on weather, energy levels, and local opportunities.

There is no formal classroom. The learning happens entirely through guided exploration, conversation, and cultural interaction.

* All times are in local time.

Mornings

8:30 am – 9:30 am
Group Breakfast (Meeting Point)
We meet near the intersection of:
• Rue Massena
• Rue Paradis
• Place Magenta
Breakfast is informal and at your own expense.
This hour is used for:
• Casual French conversation
• Activating vocabulary for the day
• Reviewing useful expressions
• Setting intentions
• Preparing for spontaneous interaction
This is not a lesson — it is structured conversational warm-up to build confidence before heading into the city.

9:30 am – 12:30 pm
Morning Exploration — Old Nice & Seafront
We begin walking through central Nice and the surrounding neighbourhoods.
Possible areas include:
• Vieux Nice (Old Town)
• Cours Saleya Market
• Promenade des Anglais
• Colline du Château (Castle Hill viewpoint)
• Port of Nice
• Local artisan streets and hidden passages
During the walk:
• We speak French as much as possible
• You practise spontaneous conversation
• We interact naturally with the environment
• We work on listening comprehension in real settings
The focus is fluid, natural language use — not perfection.

Lunch Break

12:30 pm – 2:30 pm
Group Lunch in a Local Restaurant or café

Lunch at a local restaurant or café.
This is an important part of the immersion:
• Ordering in French
• Discussing food and culture
• Expressing opinions
• Reacting in real time
Meals are at your own expense.
This is relaxed but intentional French use.

Afternoons

2:30 pm – 5:30 pm (Nice time)
Cultural Visit or Themed Exploration
Depending on weather and group preference, the afternoon may include:
• A museum visit (e.g., Matisse Museum, Marc Chagall Museum, Palais Lascaris)
• Exploration of residential neighbourhoods
• Coastal walks
• Visit to local markets
• Cultural landmarks

Museum visits may happen in the afternoon or occasionally in the morning depending on conditions.

The goal remains:
• Deepening vocabulary
• Reflecting on cultural themes
• Sustaining conversation longer
• Building fluency stamina

Evening — Optional & Flexible

• Rest
• Explore independently
• Dine together informally
• Continue conversations in small groups
